In the heart of the Tomball area, the Aggie spirit came alive with the founding of the Tomball Area A&M Club, a testament to the unwavering determination and Aggie pride of its co-founders, Aaron Redding '00 and Rafael (Rif) Gonzalez '89. Fueled by their passion for Texas A&M and a desire to unite Aggies closer to home, the duo faced a challenge—no local alumni club. The Waller County and Houston Clubs were just too far, so they decided to take matters into their own hands.
With grit and gusto, Aaron and Rif embarked on a journey to establish a vibrant Aggie community in Tomball. They tirelessly petitioned the Association of Former Students, relentlessly pursuing their dream of a local club. Overcoming obstacles and meeting all the necessary requirements, their persistence paid off when, in 2017, the Association granted them the Tomball Area A&M Club.
Since then, Aaron and Rif have poured their hearts into growing the club. From lively local events that echo with the Aggie War Hymn to the solemn tradition of Muster, they've cultivated a tight-knit community that pulses with excitement. In 2023, a monumental milestone was reached as the club awarded its first scholarship, a testament to the impact and growth of the Tomball Area A&M Club.
Join the roar of excitement in Tomball as Aggies rally together, celebrate traditions, and continue to make a lasting mark on the Aggie legacy. The Tomball Area A&M Club is not just a club; it's a dynamic force, and the best is yet to come! Gig 'em, Tomball Aggies!
